SimonGlaube das berühmteste und für viele das beste Kate Bush Album. Ist wirklich so krass was sie alleine macht. Peak Art Pop. Super Produktion, super Texte, super performance, super Aufbau vom Album... Erste hälfte hat die besten Pop/Art Pop Banger mit ihren Lindrums und die zweite Hälfte hat auch soooo gute bisschen weirdere Songs. Fav: Hounds Of Love, Under Ice, Waking The Witch, Hello Earth und alle anderen songs eig auch.

JamesPrecision-built pop on one side, a drifting, watery song cycle on the other. What makes the record extraordinary is how physical it feels despite how intricate it is. “Running Up That Hill” turns emotional imbalance into rhythm, while the second side, The Ninth Wave, moves like a sequence of drifting thoughts from someone lost at sea—voices, memories, panic, fragments of reassurance. Bush arranges sound with cinematic precision, but the songs never feel overworked because the emotions underneath them stay messy and human. It’s experimental music that still trusts melody enough to carry you through its stranger corners.

HazelWhen I first played this album, it was at a time when a friend had been introducing me to some trad music.
I remember thinking how cool it was to hear the Irishness on this and to see Liam O'Flynn, Donal Lunny etc in the album sleeve notes.
Some tracks I would have skipped over previously (I didn't get Waking the Witch) are now sounding great.
No more skipping! 10/10

Michele TierraI liked Kate Bush way before Stranger Things came out, 30+ years before ST! My pagan friends turned me on to Kate with the Kick Inside (another favorite album), and so I was eagerly awaiting Hounds of Love. It didn’t disappoint. I remember one cold January night at New College, running to the Bay in shorts and a T-shirt, as I struggled to keep a grip on reality. Kate's signing kept me grounded and reassured me that though the world can be frightening, there’s a way forward. And that it was perfectly ok to argue with God.
