JamesOn their fourth studio LP every sound has been polished to maximum impact, yet the album somehow avoids feeling static. Producer Mutt Lange layers guitars and vocals so densely that tracks like “Animal” and “Pour Some Sugar on Me” feel engineered rather than merely played - a strategy that would fail without the onslaught of killer hooks. There is a mathematical precision to these songs - the band swings for the fences and hits it even further. It’s excess refined into design.

Cooper AllenThis is peak, joyous, hairband material. I remember listening to a greatest hits Def Leppard CD non stop in 5th grade. They were the first band I ever was attached too. I thought it was cool that there drummer had just one arm.

Eric GregorichI grew up listening to Def Leppard. Pour Some Sugar On Me was probably the first song I heard where I wanted to purchase the actual album. I was a kid at the time, and eventually, my parents bought me a Sony Walkman and the Pyromania album (Hysteria was sold out). Eventually, I got Hysteria.
