  Aside from being a fantastic album, this one also features one of my favorite album covers of all time.

  I get that King Diamond may not be to all tastes but I think he was perfect for this band. Every track on this album is a perfect example of what sets Mercyful Fate apart from nearly all of their contemporaries is that in addition to being really heavy, they rock. I mean, these songs all just have a groove to them that you generally just don't find in metal. I love it.
