  Hildegard von Bingen was a German abbess, mystic, composer, theologian and healer during the medieval era. Born 16 September 1098, died 17 September 1179. Sequentia is an international group of singers and instrumentalists – united in Paris under the direction of Benjamin Bagby – dedicated to the performance and recording of Western European music from the period before 1300. This album is recorded at Klosterkirche Knechtsteden [06/1982] and St. Osdag, Mandelsloh [06/1983].
