Albums I truly love
When this album came out, west coast music had me in a choke hold. You remember your first listening experiene? Cause I sure do.
I remember closing the door to my room and getting ready to give it that full Mr Morale experience. Then what happened? How on earth could I keep myself lying down in that bed? Impossible. Kept going from dancing like crazy to sitting down on the bed focusing hard as hell on every word I heard. I listened the fuck out of that album that day. Fully inhaled it.
Then the second time when I was going to the library. Holyyyyy. Or was that part of the first time? I don't remember. I just remember dancing my ass off on the street. And then the epiphane of Gloria at the library. I was like damn I love hip hop music so much and this album is one of my biggest reminders.
BOPS.

Albums For Mika
Another Kendrick album. Some songs have deep lyrics but not as much depth as his other albums. The songs I'd reccomend in particular are:
Wacced Out Murals
Luther
Man At The Garden
Reincarnated
Dodger Blue
Gloria -
Every album I've listened to
i dont feel the vibe except a couple songs 6/10

2024
GNX feels leaner and more confrontational than Kendrick’s more sprawling recent work. The production emphasizes tension, movement, and rhythmic sharpness rather than grand conceptual framing. Kendrick raps with incredible precision throughout, shifting between menace, humor, reflection, and technical flexing almost line by line. The album’s shorter runtime gives it unusual focus and replay value. Even at its most aggressive, the writing remains layered and highly controlled. It sounds like an artist re-centering himself through competition and craft.

Grammy Album of the Year Award Winners and Nominees
2026 nominee I wanted to like this more, but I just didn’t really. I don’t really like his voice, and I don’t like the vibe of so many diss tracks. I can see why he would be so popular, again, this just isn’t a vibe that enjoyed. The rapping was good, production was good, and the music was reasonably compelling, so it’s definitely not trash garbage level, but I really didn’t enjoy it. ⭐️⭐️

Top 100 Albums (Oct 2025)
Amazing record with all good hits.

My top (Almost 100) Albums of all time.
An absolute legacy banger! Look I know its become cool to hate on Kendrick recently for whatever reason, “Oh he’s too woke.” “He’s too upfront.” Sounds like a bunch of bullshit to me.
In this album Kendricks goal is clear he wants to inspire and invoke growth in the rap industry via paving the way, in his words “the only factor I respected was raising the bar.” He desperately wants rappers of this era to improve upon and be able to grow further than the rappers of the past but they aren’t meeting his expectations. GNX is in my opinion the most replay-able album K-Dot has released. Reincarnated is a fucking masterpiece of a track I still get goosebumps. -

Best of 2024
Kendrick was busy this year. Beyond the diss tracks and war with Drake, he managed to sneak in a full album. And it's good. My hip hop album of the year.
