  Broken Social Scene return from hiatus sounding more focused without losing their communal spirit. The songs are richly arranged but less chaotic than some earlier work. Moments of euphoria coexist with reflections on aging, commitment, and endurance. The band's many voices feel unified by a shared sense of purpose. It's a mature and rewarding record.
