  Justin Townes Earle combines country, folk, blues, and Memphis soul into a sound that feels timeless without becoming retro. The title track is one of the great Americana songs of the century, balancing darkness and beauty with remarkable grace. Earle's songwriting is precise and deeply empathetic throughout. The performances are understated but memorable. It's arguably his finest album.
