  I had no idea Blood Red Throne was coming out with a new album until I happened to look at today's new releases list. It's like Christmas has come early this year!

  I quite enjoyed 2024's Nonagon, which I will admit I initially listened to solely on the basis of the album cover, knowing next to nothing about the band.

  I think I maybe like this new album even better, and while there is possibly some recency bias at play, I think it may be a last-minute arrival to my list of 2025 favorites. The riffs are massive, the production is super-crisp, and clocking in at forty-five minutes, Slitskin cooks along and does not outstay its welcome.

  I wish this band would tour over here in the States (I think they're only playing one festival so far), because I'd love to see them play live.
