  A bit more of a riff-heavy release, Pollard treats the double-album format as an opportunity to showcase every side of the band's personality, from concise pop songs to elaborate rock epics. The variety keeps the album engaging despite its size. There are enough standout tracks here for several excellent single albums. It's one of the most ambitious projects of the late-period catalog.
