  The first Boston Spaceships album immediately established the project as far more than another side venture. Pollard, John Moen, and Chris Slusarenko create a record overflowing with hooks, energy, and invention. The songs are concise but emotionally resonant, often recalling the best aspects of classic GBV while sounding fresh. Pollard's songwriting is unusually sharp throughout. It's one of the finest records he made after the original Guided by Voices breakup.
