  These guys are from Bordeaux, France and have been putting out albums fairly regularly since the mid-2000s. Seems like they’re fairly well known, although this is the first time I have encountered their stuff.

  The Ember Gone is pretty solid progressive technical death metal. I’m not crazy about the occasional deathcore-style vocals (that sub-genre not generally being my cup of tea) but otherwise I like this album. The tech/prog elements don’t feel overdone; they keep things interesting over the course of the eight tracks without getting distracting.
