  Pete Brown

This self-titled release is the first full album from this Norwegian two-man band.

I enjoyed this one while I was listening to it (“This is pretty good,” said the 16yo while it was playing in the car on the drive to school this morning). As I was listening to it, though, nearly every track made me think “This sounds like something off of Crack the Skye”

That’s fine--Crack the Skye remains my favorite Mastodon album and it explains why I found this album so listenable. Then again, if I want to listen to Mastodon, I’ll just go listen to Mastodon.
