My Favorite Albums!
Here are some albums I can return to all the time, and never skip a track!
-
AFI
Easily my favorite album by my favorite band, Burials features a perfect mix of Gothic rock and AFI signature Emo infused Punk sound!
-
Bowling For Soup
Mixing Pop Punk and Power Pop with a comedic spin, Blowing For Soup’s Lunch Drunk Love is an absolute joy to listen to featuring a selection of super relatable songs that will bring a smile to your face!
-
Rush
Rush was my gateway band into the world of progressive music, and the album that truly opened my eyes was Permanent Waves.
-
Alter Bridge
Born out of the ashes of Creed, Alter Bridge managed to mix Alternative Metal with Progressive and Hard Rock elements, with AB III being what I could consider there finest work.
-
Billy Joel
Trying to narrow down a Billy Joel album that I would consider my all time favorite was actually tougher then expected, but at the end of the day 52nd Street is definitely the one I can go back to anytime. Featuring some iconic songs that showcase Billy Joel’s iconic Pop Rock sound!
-
Queensrÿche
Concept albums are a fun way of telling stories through music, Queensryche’s Operation: Mindcrime is a favorite of mine. One of the best aspects of a good concept album is being able to follow the story, which Operation: Mindcrime definitely succeeds with.
-
Julien-K
Mixing elements of Electronic, Industrial, and Metal, Julien-K’s Death To Analog is an interesting ride through and through.
-
Megadeth
Another album that definitely helped shape my musical tastes, Megadeth’s Rust In Peace is the quintessential Thrash Metal album in my opinion. Featuring some absolutely stellar guitar work and musicianship, even if the vocals might not be everyone’s cup of tea.
-
Chevelle
Alternative Metal is a genre that has quickly become a favorite of mine over the years, Chevelle’s Hats Off to the Bull features a great mix of dark crunchy guitars and emotional vocals that makes this a must listen for me.
