Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners
An album I've loved for a while. Its cozy and maybe a little slow in a good way. It feels like a step away from technology and being in the woods
-
Low Hum
Low hum but even fuzzier and less ethereal than usual. Some introspective lyrics as per usual. I love low hums lyrical work. It feels so geniusly "simple", but with so many layers. Not their best album but ikfjekdnfekcisj
-
spill tab
Its like if Clairo and Mitski knew French for some songs, really liked fuzz/distortion, and made a psychedelic album. I believe this is the deluxe version of the album, but it's feels so tight. Every song just hits. Please listen if you like pop and psychedelia
-
Psychedelic Maggot Engine
Psychedelic rock album with female lead singer. Only one album and it's fantastic+tight??
-
Low Hum
I have this on vinyl one of my most inspiring artists and albums. It's psychedelic rock with fuzzy riffs that will put you in a trance. The last song comatose is a masterpiece.
-
Racing Mount Pleasant
will relisten
-
No Hel
-
Rum Jungle
Rum jungle. Their latest album and probably my favorite. If you like indie rock that Is Australian I believe, they are a worthy listen

ARTHUR
Arthur my beloved ミ●﹏☉ミ
Uh not an album for everyone. It's a trip tho
-
Mr.Tree
Idk if this is a mixtape or what but it seems like a sort of compilation with some of oliver trees older stuff. Still great.
-
Tree
OLIVER TREE BE FORE HE WAS OLIVER TREE. Experimental, glitchy and oozing with inspiration the lyrics are a mix between being really on the nose, and incredibly abstract.
It's a vibe and the rap sections are so strong. Top tier album for me. Seriously it's one I've been coming back to for many many years.
-
ill get it someday
-
Cocteau Twins
Quintessential psychedelic album. If I need a chill time, this is it
-
DOPE LEMON
(fresh squeezed). Ok dope lemon is a band that is actually so smooth, this is their latest album. While its not my favorite work from them it is very good. I wanna be in Cali on the beach when I listen to this.
-
Cherry Pick
-
cherry pick
Female vocals, shoegazey. Just listen. It's a small EP and it hits like a smooth truck dipped in lube gliding across ur mangled body.
-
Panchiko
Melancholic. I love this album and have listenef to it a million times. I think there are a few songs towards the start of the album that fit, but drag the album down slightly. Like those are good songs but it's not as relistenable to me as the fantastic ladder half of the album.
When I hear this album, I just feel empty, like I lost something and can't get it back. Please listen!
-
Mild Orange
their style changed a bit
-
Panchiko
god i need to
its a short ablum and you find some of their demos fully fleshed out in this album. I have a lot more to say yet all i want to stress is panchiko is amazing and while this album is a work of art its still not even close to my favorite works from them iaosijkoajdnfiopasdnmfpioasdnmfpoasdgzspodfkposaDfkpa[wosekf=awefkapwoefasodjfkpoasidjkf powj3-09j-02093i4r im tired
-
Panchiko
First half of album fantastic demos they made from I'm assuming around their first album. Second half is very different with atmospheric-ish arrangements that vary in quality but show their skills in crafting euclidean-like soundscapes, which you see get perfected in their future works. Its such a cozy album for me
-
Mild Orange
really good too, idk i will edit log soon with thoughts
-
Mild Orange
mild orange best album?? all songs recognizable and its chill and it has amazing riffs and yeah and maybe their debut is equal if not better but yeah and run on sentence and yeah yeah
-
Kingo Hamada
yeah 80s pop 80s love 80s jazzy
"hora dorufin hora dorufan
hora dorufin dorufan dorufon!"I imagine these were popular on the radio in the 80s so good

Modest Mouse
Fav Song: Impossible Somedays
uhh this is modest mouse so I mean, its got that flare of really "simple" guitar melodies using occasional out of key notes, and the lead singers unique inflection that is oh so succulent to me. It feels less in your face than their other albums ! It's a longer album with maybe a tiny bit of bloat, but I feel like I'm eating well with it.
I am just insanely curious about their writing style and the ideas they had when making this album. Gonna watch some interviews when they come out.
Idk for some reason I dont have much to say about this so I might come back someday and write more about this.

what is your name?
Fav song: you can't turn back time
>︿< I think this album is gonna be one that sticks with me. The songs are mainly focused on instrumentals like cool sounding chopped samples, and interesting vocal-like melodies. Layering has depth,, aaaaa its good.
It starts off with a good amount of psychedelia and nostalgic bliss, which are instant YES for me. I start to understand the song structures and gimmicks of this album.
Gimmicks mainly being interesting drums that have a life of their own, and vamps with the the guitar chords and built up emotional weight. Its a very pretty album and gives me some of that sweet LONGING, which is my favorite feeling I strive for in media.
Only downsides on first listen is that the "gimmicks" carry between most songs and can make the songs feel similar instead of having their own flavour to them. We'll see if I still think that on more listens.

Fav song: Telecaster
3 song EP. Little different from their other album. I dont have much to say than they got it down still haha. Worth checking out but I still do prefer their other album.
I will def relisten and add more thoughts cause I didnt log this right when I listened and I feel like I have more ideas to share.
-
No Hel
Short! I want more! Has insane but crude guitar, and infantile vocals (as a foreigner that has no experience with intonation and accents, thats what I first thought so..)
Has this whole indie vibe but its polished asfrick and clearly this person is talented at guitar. I mean they end the album with the longest guitar solo ever lol
-
Shinsei kamattechan
Nice album. Lengthy. Had unconventional samples and ideas which carried through the entire album. I imagine they are known for their unconventionalism. I'll have to listen to their other works to see.
The second half of the album sounded wildly different to me. It was thoroughly enjoyable. I think it feels cohesive while not being cohesive interestingly enough. I have a headcannon that they made the first half of the album, THEN got contracted for the OP for AOT. I feel like they leaned HEAVILY into the style they were going for with the songs to the point where it feels jarring. I dont think the jarring feeling just comes from already knowing the opening. ≽^•⩊•^≼

neodada
I found some random reddit post with zero comments on a subreddit about showcasing album art. Had no idea what genre it would be, but it triply made me surprised how good it was. There is NO WAY this is the artist's first project?????
the mixing is great and its gleaming with confidence. It has great 'precise yet unrestrained' guitar chords/phrases that make me have a big smile on my face.
-
Della Zyr
Nother just good ah shoegaze album. Dont have much to say but it has a unique vibe to it. I'll come back to it and write more maybe.
-
BrokenTeeth
fav track: sunset strike
All around good shoegaze album.
I noticed it has amateurish mixing, but I love amateurish mixing sooooo.Feels like you shut your mind off and the noise is just a presence, until it lets up like a breathe, and you realize you were actually engulfed in the songs the whole time.
-
東京酒吐座(Tokyo Shoegazer)
accidentally listened to it on shuffle and I wanted to die once I realized how much of a sin I just did to such a beautiful album. I will re-listen in order soon. Songs mesh well together. Feels lofi. I imagine their newer stuff is slightly less lofi but I love it anyways.

Roderick Porter
Wow this (indie I assume) rapper, has seriously improved. Listening to this project I'm blown away by the improvement to the mixing and the absolutely beastious beats ive seen on this EP. It feels short and complete, and compared to his older stuff his rapping is so much more mature. Great listen.
The new singles coming out make me YEARN for the eventual upcoming album. It's got its own vibe and I need whats coming
