Amen Dunes
Amen Dunes is one Damon McMahon who operates this as solo project and as a band. This album is really the crystallization of his vision as an artist. He has an unearthly vibrato that really gets deep into the listener. There are so many incredible cuts on the record. There are a few favorites from this one: Miki Dora, Dracula, L.A. It's actually really difficult to cull favorites as the entire record is fantastic front to back. Highly recommended.

Fennec
A fun listen that's very reminiscent of the sampledelic wonder that was the Avalanches LP "Since I Left You". Very warm and engaging house and disco-flavored beats. Favorite track: Girl

LA Vampires, Maria Minerva
L.A. Vampires is Amanda Brown, previously one half of the band Pocahaunted. It definitely is "bleached day-glo rhythm" as the press release tell it and Maria Minerva is the collaborator for this go-around. This is the hazy sound of a cassette left on a dashboard that's slowly melting and captures that feeling at the peak of a glorious night at a galactic extraterrestrial club. Favorite track: Supercool

Jockstrap
A strange band to describe, Georgia Ellery and Taylor Skye are alumni of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and they have a lot of diverse elements on their debut album and they definitely bring the variety- ballads bump elbows against hyperkinetic dance and rave-flavored songs. Incredible debut and a group to definitely keep an eye on. Favorite track: Greatest Hits

From the upcoming album 'Praise A Lord Who Chews But Does Not Consume;(Or Simply, Hot Between Worlds), Yves Tumor continues his incredible streak of post-punk, experimental music on Warp Records. Highly recommended. Favorite track: Echolalia
-
The Smashing Pumpkins
A collection of B-sides and outtakes of their breakout album 'Siamese Dream'. This is an incredible collection of songs including a version of Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide" and a few other stunners. Favorite track: Obscured
-
Ween
One of Ween's best. Quietly sad yet with that traditional Ween flavor. Consummate musical geniuses mastering any genre they care to adopt. Favorite track: Chocolate Town
