A homecoming to the original sound that catapulted her to fame, Lady Gaga showcases the evolution of her artistry. 'Mayhem' takes the foundations from 'The Fame' and refined it, while experimenting with sonic elements from industrial rock and pop rock. The track 'Perfect Celebrity' is giving Nine Inch Nails--I wouldn't be surprised if Trent Reznor collaborated with Gaga.

The controversy around the release of the original album made it hard for me to like when it initially was released, but I've come to warm up a bit to it. I absolutely enjoy all the new deluxe tracks; Ariana never misses with her vocal layering and harmonies, and I'm all for the revival of sonic maximalism. The track 'warm' just sounds like ecstasy--it's as if you're elevating into space.
