I mostly listen to these five albums right now

It's been a long time since I listened almost exclusively to full length albums, and I have these five to thank for my recent change in listening behavior.

  1. Erika de Casier

One of my favorite voices. I read somewhere that this is the first album she has produced all on her own, and maybe that's why it just clicks so perfectly with me, it feels like she found home. Y2K inspired R&B for those late night hours when the whole world is asleep.

  2. Nala Sinephro

Discovered her recently through Bandcamp and instantly fell in love with this album of floaty jazz-electronica. If you like Promises by Floating Points, Pharaoh Sanders and the London Symphony Orchestra, give this one a listen.

  3. Kara-Lis Coverdale

Magical record that takes me to a lush summer forest when I listen. Kara-Lis Coverdale has put out some amazing tracks in the past and they have always been part of my 4th world playlists, but this is the first time that a whole album of hers has felt truly perfect.

  4. Acopia

Dream pop/shoegaze mixed with almost IDM-like electronica or triphop. Instant love for this when I discovered them through Bandcamp. More of a fall/winter sound, but I keep coming back even now that the days are brighter and warmer.

  5. Maria Somerville

My favorite NTS host also made one of my favorite albums of 2025. If you listen to her early-bird show, you won't be disappointed by this lovely dream pop record.

I mostly listen to these five albums right now is an album list curated by John Bengtsson.
