Flawless albums

Death
I’ll restrain myself from adding too many death albums to this list and keep just this one. I picked spiritual because of how it grew on me. It actually used to be my least favourite death album until my 4th or 5th listen. Once it clicked I heard it- all the songs start off relatively lax until they explode and you get these insane 16ths on chucks guitar that just never stop. Perfect 10/10 death metal

TOOL
Tool at their best. Every track flawless and memorable
-
Dream Theater
One of the greatest prog albums in history. It’s unfortunate they couldn’t ever top their first album. I feel that their later works after train of thought are a somewhat rushed. Every track on images is so beautiful and complex and heavy when it needs to be with even some jazz fusion elements
-
Meshuggah
In my opinion the best meshuggah record. While I wish the drums weren’t programmed it’s impossible to play some of the songs because of how complex and unrelenting the music is. Amazing prog metal no misses
-
Metallica
I like this Metallica album the most because it’s by far their most aggressive and expressive. I think it surpasses master of puppets becuase it has a more consistent track list compared to masters’ “damage inc” and “the thing that should not be” which are not the best songs in my opinion. Did Dave write their second album? Who knows, who cares, this album is perfect
-
Led Zeppelin
My favourite led zeppelin. While it is long I don’t feel that it is bloated. It’s some of the best riffs from jimmy page and arguably their best songwriting. every track keeps you hooked until the next one plays.
-
Pink Floyd
Sort of a generic pick but you can’t argue with the music. It is just perfect
-
Sepultura
No misses. Thrash at its best
-
The Rolling Stones
Rolling Stones at their peak. I pick this over exile because I feel exile is a little bloated at times while this is just as strong as an album but shorter and sweeter
-
Wheel
Perfect modern prog
-
The Beatles
I thought this album was so amazing because of the doctumenty I watched about it. The addition of something like 12 extra songs in the last two weeks of writing. Some might say it’s bloated but I think it’s such a fun listen. I especially like the Eric Clapton feature on the amazing “while my guitar gently weeps”
