2022-12-05 - Stuff I listened to this week

  1. The Reds, Pinks and Purples

Instrumental stuff that has a bit of an American Analog Set vibe to it. I enjoyed it as background music, but can't remember much about it.

  2. Tears For Fears

This album is just so very good. I love that these two have gotten back together and are still putting out great records.

  3. Apollo Brown

  4. Nathan Salsburg

  5. Florist

  6. Arne Domnerus, Bengt Hallberg, Egil Johansen, Georg Riedel

  7. The Weeknd

  8. Burial

Just an EP, but excellent nonetheless. Muted, scratchy ambient dub sort of stuff—perfect for a very light night, a very early morning, or a very grey and misty afternoon.

  9. Special Interest

I ran across this one on some year-end best-of list. Aggressively noisy electro-tinged rock, it's a bit much for my taste and not really what I'm looking for. It doesn't suck, though.

  10. Indigo De Souza

I guess this is an album that would fall into the category of alternative pop? Heavily processed folks over lightly sequenced beats and instrumentations. It's alright, but didn't blow me away.

  11. William Basinski

  12. Wilderado
