New (to me) stuff lately

Another trip down memory lane, this time to the shoegaze of the late 1980s and early 1990s. I can apparently listen to endless quantities and variations of this stuff, so I am maybe not the best judge here, but I enjoyed this album.

Local-ish (they’re from Brattleboro) band that does an uncannily good job of replicating the Joy Division-era post-punk sound. Made for a decent listen, but tbh their mimicry is almost too good.

How did I not know that these guys had a new album coming out? It’s a bit more mellow than their early 2000s stuff, but that happens to all of us, doesn’t it?
