Good Work Albums

I love listening to music while I work at the library, but I usually can't listen to stuff with lyrics while I'm focusing. So, those two aims converging, I have opened my world to some amazing instrumental albums. These are some of my favourites, but I will continue to add to this list as I find them. Links are to their Bandcamp pages.

  1. Angine de Poitrine

Needs no introduction. They're taking the world by storm!!!

  2. Dylan Golden Aycock

Lonely acoustic guitar with a nice touch of reverb and space. Feels like the way the sun sets in August on your small hometown.

  3. Oda
    vic bang

Seemingly discordant sounds coalesce into a meditative soundscape. Mellow and smooth.

  4. Isabel Pine

Gorgeous, solemn, meditative strings that can build and build. Feels just like the album cover. From BC! 🌲

  5. Charles 'Poppy Bob' Walker

Acoustic. Gentle. Twangy and lo-fi. Ample tape hiss and other distant background sounds make for an ethereal listen.

  6. Daphni

Just straight up dance music. Very energetic and diverse. Caribou's dancier alter-ego.

  7. Angine de Poitrine

Groovy. Technical. Rock'n'roll as hell. From Québec!!! Start your day with this one.

  8. Caribou

Upbeat. Dance-y. Some lyrics but nothing distracting. Caribou is a Canadian treasure.

  9. Rhythmic. A medium level of energy. Lots of xylophone-y sounds and wind instruments.

  10. Le Grand Partir

Jazzy. A little rock and roll.

  11. Sonitus Missarum

Heavy. Experimental. A little jazzy. Dissonant.

  12. 10
    Battle Elf
