  If someone asked me what Indie sounds like, this is what I would show them. Unapologetic angst and heartbreak fuelled by nostalgia. If you want to ride that bike again and feel that summer heat again as an ice cream melts into your hand, this album is perfect for you. The Backseat Lovers encapsulate a very specific core foundation of what we know as Indie music, and therefore you can’t really be an Indie music fan without first listening to this record and understanding how it all developed. Brilliant stuff, fucking excellent work boys!
