Chris Robinson sings with swagger, and the band’s looseness keeps the music from becoming stiff or overly polished. Tracks like “Twice as Hard” and “Jealous Again” succeed because the grooves feel lived-in rather than reconstructed from the past. It’s revivalism with enough grime left on it to feel convincing.
