  “Synthesized Sudan: Astro​-​Nubian Electronic Jaglara Dance Sounds from the Fashaga Underground” is a musical “UFO”. Unknown in the capital Khartoum, without a telephone, the Sudanese keyboard player Jantra searches for inspiration in the countryside. It’s electronic dance music, made with foreign keyboards turned into uniquely Sudanese instruments able to play polyrhythmic notes. Jantra plays a modified Yamaha to create his 150+ BPM music and hypnotic rhythms.
