2011 nominee while the fame was a fun, exciting album, this album feels more mature and rounded out. Stephanie’s vocals shine through on this album in a way that they didn’t on her previous album, setting her up to be remembered for her commanding vocals (which she will cement in her career trajectory in the coming years). The album is clever from the very start (love the title), and it continues the trends we see in 2010’s pop, more dystopian than her last album, perhaps a more complete concept, with gritty synths signaling the trashy “tonight we eat and drink for tomorrow we die” clubbing vibes that are oh so reminiscent of the time. This album is a product of the times, and yet it is distinctly Lady Gaga’s heart and voice at the center of it.

I mean come on! Banger after banger after banger! Lady Gaga's influence, presence and style was undeniable during the early 2010's. The Fame Monster is arguably one of the best breakthrough albums ever made, it really shows you everything that Gaga was and is. It's designed to dance to no matter who you are or what you believe; let your hair down, take a deep breath in and get on the fucking dance floor baby.
Define an era like Gaga, and you deserve all the flowers.

I'm counting the deluxe edition here with The Fame and The Fame Monster here..

I heard the debut of "Just Dance" on the radio when I was 11 or 12 and my life was never the same. I still have my CD of this record, and you bet your ass I still listen to it. This was the best pop music of the 2000s, hands down. And that's saying something because I absolutely hate most synth pop.

Also it's so gay which I also love, as a gay. My favorite track is "Alejandro" which also has an excellent music video.
