  As a farewell to the classic lineup, the album feels surprisingly focused and reflective. Robert Pollard still throws out huge hooks casually, but there’s a sense of aging and exhaustion creeping into the songs that gives them extra resonance. Two of the better GBV songs of the time period bookend the LP - "Everybody Thinks I'm A Raincloud (When I'm Not Looking)" and "Huffman Prairie Flying Field".
