  Centro-matic take ragged, distorted indie rock and fill it with surprisingly tender songwriting. “The Mighty Midshipman,” “Flashes and Cables,” and “Spiraling Sideways” sound blown-out and immediate, but underneath the fuzz are melodies that linger.
