My highlights - January 2026!

What a damn way to kick off the new year! I AM YOUR BEAST is an amazing video game, and this driving, pummeling soundtrack elevated the entire experience so much. The title track - which is also the song for the final level - is one of my favorite video game songs full stop. Amazing OST!

One of the best, most eclectic electronic albums I've ever heard. So playful in it's instrumentation and sampling - despite the constant high energy nature of the project, it never gets tiring, and feels perfectly paced. And the album art and weird esoteric storyline is really fun dressing for a really fun project!

I HAVE to go back and check out Jimi Hendrix's other 3 full studio albums, because this is just so gorgeous & intricate. Some of the best guitar work I've ever heard lives on here. Stellar!

Ohhhhhh man I can see this album being one of my absolute favorites of the year - it is just jaw-dropping in it's beauty. Lyrically it's profound and very timely (especially Children of the Empire), instrumentally it's so lush and ethereal, the pacing is damn near perfect, it's just stellar.

What struck me about this record the most is the incredibly natural instrumentals that transport me directly into the studio with the band as they play. It's such a pretty, immersive little EP with some of the best production I've heard in awhile. Also, the lyricism is so witty and catchy - just great all around!

Tunic's OST is some insane tonal whiplash coming from I Am Your Beast, but in the best way possible. This is some of the most relaxing, transportive ambient music I've heard in any game. The fluttery synths & gentle piano are to die for. Love this game dearly!

I now understand why this is a seminal piece of rock history! Amazing album - will be returning to it regularly for sure. Infectiously fun and catchy!
