29 min of pure i want to be somewhere else. made me cry so much in minnesota. so good. transitions between the songs are insane. the guitar makes me believe in home again. has to be played loud as fuck. CITY NEVER LETS ME DOWN! holy shit

its so fun and full of energy and nonstop and is absolutely pop punk but it has such unique riffs and bits that make each song unique. i will never get tired of this

can’t tell if he’s trying to sing or rap but the monotoney / medium grain of sandpaper quality of his voice is so unique and good to my ears. kind of suffers from repeat disease where ive listened so many times. I LOVE THE TRUMPET. shoutout ari. i do like it when the weather is warm. where in top’s self-titled album, tylers voice is just as weird as the music, here the music is just a litttllee too good for the weird moments of his voice. he has some bars though not going to lie. kind of about love and being far away from home which im a sucker for. feels more like a jam session than a cohesive album but i think thats what they were going for.

it feels fitting to start my list of every album ever with probably the first album i ever listened to all the way through.

i think 2009 tyler joseph's voice has a certain emotion and desperation that isn't necessarily gone in post-blurryface albums, but is def different. it feels like every album after this one was trying to get away from / understand what happened in this one. his voice + the music has a sound to it that i can imagine that people dont like but idk its got a je ne sais quoi to it for me. major nostalgia points for this ofc. also shoutout titled. i love how funky and different all the songs are. each song sounds purposeful. what the hell is even a pantaloon. dont know dont care a moth ate through your favorite shirt. i forgot about that part in air catcher when he swallows his voice changer. what was that about.
