Old And In The Way
Albums from the 60s and 70s that I’m still in love with
-
Fotheringay
One of those great albums that you either hear repeatedly or you’ve never heard of it. Fotheringay, formed around a Fairport Convention core. Amazing.
-
Joni Mitchell
One of those albums where you feel it’s sacrilegious to break up the cadence and rhythm of the original albums, you don’t particularly like Greatest Hits or compilation albums, and yet you feel more than at ease listening to this one. Joni doing what she always does, erasing status quo from your mind.
-
Grateful Dead
One of the many great Dead albums. This one is special for me because it was where I was introduced to Help>Slip>Frank. And of course The Music Never Stopped, a John Perry Barlow classic contribution.
-
Mike Bloomfield
From a time when supergroups formed for just one or two albums, and sometimes didn’t even play all together on a single track. Captivating.
