2025 - Week 17: Rob's Listening Log #4

The latest albums I'm listening to! Week of April 21st through April 27th

  1. Jimi Hendrix

    Listened on vinyl!

  2. Turtles, man.

  3. The Rolling Stones

One of the best albums? Well, that's subjective.

  4. The Meters

    Can't stop, won't stop.

  5. The Meters

    It's fuuuuuuuuuunky!

  6. "Oh baby, you've got my soul."

If you haven't seen the documentary Gimme Shelter, you really should.

  7. Jimi Hendrix

I have this one on vinyl!

  8. The Jimi Hendrix Experience

I needed some Jimi today. This is genius dreaming.

  9. The Brian Jonestown Massacre

Anton can do no wrong, in my book. Aside from all the wrong he's actually done in real life.

  10. Perhaps the best prog-rock album ever?

  11. Albert Hammond Jr

This is a fucking awesome album to listen to on a nice sunny day while going for a walk.

  12. The Strokes

There's a reason I have a painting of this album cover hanging in my living room that I commissioned.

  13. Santana

I think Santana is one of the best of all time. Especially the original band lineup! Their performance at Woodstock made them immediate legends.

  14. LCD Soundsystem

    Can't stop, won't stop.

  15. LCD Soundsystem

Man, I wish I was just a few years older and was able to really experience the NYC music scene renaissance in the early 00s.

  16. Vampire Weekend

This was an extremely formative album for me in my late teens going into college. I discovered Vampire Weekend via the old iTunes interface and thought I was the absolute coolest freshman year. I knew cool hip new music!
