My top 50 Albums of all time.
GwydianShe's so... sad... no that isn't right, perhaps melancholic or even inconsolable. But gut wrenching is the feeling you get experiencing it. Until all of a sudden in songs like Chinese Satellite or Kyoto the beat rises and it reminds you that she is making art from pain and regret, which already proves that she is not just sad. No she is passionate and creative, and using her own experiences to make music. Alt/Indie/Folk/Pop whatever you want to call it, this is Phoebe Bridgers.

Greg MooreThis is a special album. It's somebody's deep favorite that they discovered at just the right moment in their confusing youth. Phoebe expressing complex emotions they could not otherwise recognize or understand within themselves. Maybe their friends love it too and they share their love together on a car trip. Or, maybe their friends don't get it so they play it loud in the cocoon of their headphones. They cry to it and hug their pillow to it and they fall asleep with it playing on repeat. This is a special album.

graceOne of my favourite albums from one of my favourite artists, Punisher is an emo-folk masterpiece. Not really much happiness going on in this album, though you could say Kyoto atleast sounds happy, but the songwriting is so good that you might not even feel sad while listening to it, you'll be so transfixed by both that and Phoebe's angelic vocals. My favourites are Punisher, Savior Complex, and I Know The End, but this album is totally skipless for me.

stumpnuggetPhoebe Bridgers Punisher. We saw Phoebe Bridgers in 2018 with Connor Oberst. I was not impressed. I have avoided her since then. But Punisher converted me. It is a brilliant album. It’s all about the lyrics. They are so sad and funny and tight. The song writing is top notch too.
