Great Album!
-
Taylor Swift
Great vibes for this album! Very pop-y, so not very 'chill' but one of my favourite Taylor Swift albums. The Archer False God, and Daylight are my favourites, but Cruel Summer, I Think He Knows, Me!, and You Need To Calm Down are fantastic pop songs. Cruel Summer is a fan favourite!
-
Taylor Swift
My favourite Taylor Swift album! Misconstrued as a grungy, dark, album, it's actually her album with the most lovey-dovey, happy, songs on it! My faves are ...Ready For It?, Getaway Car, and New Year's Day.
-
Paramore
Just pretty much good vibes all 'round! My fave is Hard Times!
-
Lorde
The perfect summer album! My faves are Solar Power, Stoned at the Nail Salon, and *Secrets from a Girl (Who's Seen it All)!
-
Dead Man's Bones
Great halloween vibes for this album! I only recently got into this, because it is Ryan Gosling's band, but the songs have quickly made their way into my Autumn Vibes playlist, and my Halloween playlist! Also very chill & good to have on in the background!
-
Talking Heads
Not really much to say, just a great album!
-
The Smiths
Another great The Smiths album! My faves are This Night Has Opened My Eyes, Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now, Back to the Old House, and Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want.
-
The Smiths
One of my favourite albums of all time, from one of my favourite bands. The Queen Is Dead is one of the most famous and beloved albums, and for good reason. The songs are amazing, just as Morissey's voice is too. My favourites from this deluxe edition are Bigmouth Strikes Again, There Is a Light That Never Goes Out, Asleep, and Unloveable.
-
Mitski
This album has some rock vibes, but is overall a chill, sad album. Good for having it on low volume in the background while doing work (after the first listen-through of course). This album has one of my favourite songs of all time on it, First Love/Late Spring, but I also really like Francis Forever and Last Words of a Shooting Star.
-
I have a special connection with this album, as it's the album on which the very first 75 song I ever heard is on, and consists of some of my overall favourites. Paris was the very first 1975 song I ever heard, and is still in my top 5 to this day. My other favourites are UGH!, and Loving Someone.
-
The 1975
The 1975's first album, self-titled, is one of the most perfect debut albums ever, in my opinion. Almost every song is extremely catchy, getting stuck in your head for weeks after listening. My favourites are Sex, Girls, and fallingforyou, but every 1975 fan has a special relationship with their #1 hit of all time, Robbers.
-
Taylor Swift
It's pretty simple, this is, in my opinion, one of the best pop albums to ever exist (with 1989 Taylor's Version coming out October 17th!). It's the perfect album, with happy sorta-love songs, the classic breakup songs, and songs about girl-power! 1989 was the first album I ever owned on CD, and is the 2nd Taylor Swift album era I ever remember living through, so it's very special to me! My faves are You Are In Love, Wonderland, and How You Get The Girl. but it's undeniable that Bad Blood, Shake It Off, Blank Space , and pop masterpiece Style, won't engrain themselves into your brain.
-
Pixies
Another one of my faves, this is the Pixies album with Where Is My Mind?, which is an absolute track, of course, but it goes deeper than just their most popular song! My faves are Where Is My Mind, Cactus, and Oh My Golly!.
-
Lana Del Rey
The first Lana album I ever heard (thanks to you lol) and it remains one of my favourite albums to this day! Great pop-y, summer vibes. My faves are Million Dollar Man, Diet Mountain Dew, and Lolita, and obviously the classics (Video Games and Radio)
-
Lana Del Rey
Everyone loves Lana! This is one of her best albums, in my opinion, that she's released in recent years, followed closely by Blue Banisters and Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd. Vibes very from happy to sad, and my faves are title track, Norman fucking Rockwell, Mariners Apartment Complex, Doin' Time, and Happiness is a butterfly.
-
Cigarettes After Sex
Honestly, this album is just great to have in the background while you're doing literally anything. Popular during the tumblr era, most of the songs sound mostly the same, but they are all beautiful, with the entire album having very chill vibes. Not to be one of those but... it sounds especially good on a record player. My faves are K, Apocalypse, and Sunsetz.
-
Phoebe Bridgers
One of my favourite albums from one of my favourite artists, Punisher is an emo-folk masterpiece. Not really much happiness going on in this album, though you could say Kyoto atleast sounds happy, but the songwriting is so good that you might not even feel sad while listening to it, you'll be so transfixed by both that and Phoebe's angelic vocals. My favourites are Punisher, Savior Complex, and I Know The End, but this album is totally skipless for me.
-
Pixies
This album has some of my favourite songs of all time on it, Debaser, Here Comes Your Man, and Monkey Gone to Heaven!
-
The Smashing Pumpkins
The ultimate album for a long autumn walk in my opinion! You'll recognise 1979! Tonight, Tonight and Galapogos are also great!
-
Jeff Buckley
Words cannot describe how much I love this album! Not because of the title (though it contributes), but because the songs are just so gut-wrenchingly beautiful, as is Jeff Buckley's voice. His most famous song, Lover, You Should've Come Over, is the star of this album, and of his entire discography, but other great songs are Last Goodbye, and Grace.
-
Another classic! Has the song everyone knows, Wonderwall, but that's not the only great song on this album. My favourite is Don't Look Back In Anger.
-
Arctic Monkeys
While not my favourite Arctic Monkeys album, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not is a great album, one that I feel you have to listen to at least once in your life. It is 100% one of their best though, which is impressive for it not only being their debut album, but also 17 years old. My faves include Mardy Bum, From The Ritz To The Rubble, and I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor.
-
Fleetwood Mac
A classic! If multiple songs from this album aren't in your daily rotation, you're missing out!
-
The 1975
The 1975's most recent album, for which they were touring when I saw them for the very first time this year! This album consists of almost every music vibe you could possibly need. In a pop vibe? Happiness, Looking For Somebody (To Love), Oh Caroline, and I'm in Love With You are exactly what you're looking for! Feeling existential? The album opener or Part Of The Band should cover that! And if you want to feel like your heart is being torn out of your chest? About You, 'sequel' to mega tumblr-famous 'Robbers', will have you sorted.

The 1975
My favourite The 1975 album! Released in 2020, 'Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America' pretty much soundtracked the first COVID lockdown for me. This album is also the first and only (currently) 75 album that I own on vinyl. Side B is my favourite, with all my favourite songs, Then Because She Goes, Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America, Roadkill, and Me & You Together Song, on it.
