- About this album: SABLE, fABLE is the fifth studio album by Bon Iver, released April 11, 2025 via Jagjaguwar. It expands on the SABLE EP from 2024 by incorporating those initial tracks into a broader 12-song project that blends Bon Iver’s folk roots with contemporary R&B, pop, soul, and electronic influences. The album was co-produced by Justin Vernon and Jim-E Stack, and features guest appearances from Dijon, Flock of Dimes (Jenn Wasner) and Danielle Haim, with contributions from Kacy Hill, Jacob Collier, and Mk.gee. Musically it contrasts the introspective, somber opening songs with a more joyful, love-oriented second half — creating a dynamic journey from reflection to emotional openness. The lyrical themes center on newfound love, self-awareness, and personal renewal.
- Metacritic Score: 82 (overall critic score based on aggregated critic reviews). Album of the Year
Grammy Nominations / Awards: Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album; Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Performance (“Everything Is Peaceful Love”).

Top Five 2025
The first part of this album is a stunning stripped down depressing folk album. The rest is a robust joyous love drenched album. The two pieces together make a stunning collection of all of Bon Iver's styles.

All the albums I've listened to in 2025:
(04/18/2025) This is the first Bon Iver record I've listened to, and man I gotta go check out the rest of his catalogue because this is absolutely stunning. The first disc of acoustic cuts is so emotionally cathartic (that Saxophone swell on Awards Season!!!), and the transition into the more playful second disc works so well as a full experience.

2025

My top 50 Albums of all time.
Bon Iver, is not someone I know much about but I think that’s okay. He’s not an artist I wish to know more about. I feel that only knowing his name and his music is enough for me. That way I can apply the feelings and stories he tells in his music to my own life. You probably know Bon Iver from Skinny love, at least that’s why I recognised his name. And going from that to this was a drastic change. This album is a blend of two sides that express two outlooks on life. Ultimately through the melancholic/nostalgic side and the uplifting/expressive side the album shares one story. The story being “how do I make good, and move on?” And that sticks with me personally because it’s a question I think about a lot. And I know that me and Bon Iver will have different answers to that question.
