Current Vibes
Like Nirvana, I mostly consumed Green Day as a kid through their International Superhits greatest hits album. But man, Dookie rules, I don't care who you are. I've had "She" stuck in my head for months.

1001Albums
There are some men of a certain age, probably wearing an old Ramones t shirt that’s a bit too small for them nowadays, who would look at this album and complain that it’s not ‘proper punk’. I would counter by saying that here we have 15 banging tunes in 38 minutes, dealing with boredom, alienation, growing up in an uncertain world that just doesn’t care, as well as the usual teenage concerns of sex, drugs and rock ’n’ roll. What could be more punk than that?

Simply an iconic 90s record and even more iconic pop-punk records. Hooks for days.

30 years old in 2024
The album where fans called them sell-outs. But then again, they found a greater audience who might've never heard of them. That would be a shame.

Life Hits so Far
One of my first rock favorites and an early CD I most likely saved up for. Very satisfying to power chord along with when young me got an electric guitar. “Time of Your Life” (different album) is a cliché now, but it remained my favorite song well into college before Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie rolled into town.

CORB'S TOP FIVE OF ALL TIME
"Dookie" is second on this list and I was 10 when it came out. It's significant to me because I can trace a few blossoming fragrances of my adult personality to this album. For example, I still say dookie, A LOT.
