My records!

  1. The album that brought back electropop. This is a classic. One of my favorite albums of the 2000s. They are very passionate and great people.

  2. Dashboard Confessional

Chris Carabba's "Dashboard Confessional" was a huge part of my early adulthood. While none of the later records affect me like the early ones did, I still try to keep up with his releases. This is the newest one as of this posting, and it's pretty good.

  3. Tyler Childers

This man is single-handedly saving country music. This album is fantastic, as are all his songs and albums.

  4. Jimmy Eat World

Jimmy Eat World's first full length album. This one really shows their punk roots.

  5. Lake Street Dive

Lake Street Dive is one of the funnest bands working today. They're just a blast to watch and listen to, and Rachel Price's voice is amazing!

  6. Our Lady Peace, Clumsy

Another one of my favorite bands from the 90s. They had a lot of great albums but this was the first one I heard. Superman's Dead is an iconic 90s song.

  7. Bush's music defined my middle school years. Gavin Rossdale was just so damn cool. This album still rocks, even if the lyrics make no sense.

  8. Third Eye Blind

One of my favorite albums from the 90s. Kind of a masterpiece of 90s pop-rock actually. I mostly lost interest in them after this, except for a few songs on Blue.

  9. Saves The Day

Classic emo/punk album. Saves The Day is one of my all time favorites. This album is like a shot of caffeine in the arm.

  10. St. Paul & The Broken Bones

Who knew an insurance salesman could sing like that?!

  11. Foxing

This is one of the saddest records I've ever heard, but it makes me feel so comforted at the same time. It's amazingly beautiful.

  12. Ruby Velle & The Soulphonics, Ruby Velle, The Soulphonics

Great soulful rock album in the vein of Amy Winehouse.

  13. Toad The Wet Sprocket

In my opinion, the best Toad the Wet Sprocket album. Fly From Heaven, Listen, Windmills, etc. Just so many great songs.

  14. Toad The Wet Sprocket

Various live acoustic versions from the early half of Toad's career.

  15. Taking Back Sunday

A 20th anniversary anthology album from Taking Back Sunday. All the hits! I love it.

  16. Guided By Voices

I haven't listened to all of Guided By Voices' music, I think that is literally impossible. They have about 1 million albums out. But this one is good.

  17. 4-song EP consisting of b-sides from Palms. More of an experimental sound for the band.

  18. Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit

Jason Isbell is consistently great. "If We Were Vampires" is my favorite song on this album.

  19. Camera Obscura

A lovely little live EP from a great indie pop band.

  20. A Wilhelm Scream

As with most A Wilhelm Scream albums, this one goes hard from beginning to end. There's nothing like that intro to Skid Rock.

  21. Anthony Green

Anthony Green. One of my all time favorite vocalists. Such a unique voice in music. He's fronted several great bands and his solo projects are consistently good. This is his first album, and the one that solidified my love for him as an artist.

  22. Arms and Sleepers, Swim Team

One of the only electronic music albums I own. It displays lush soundscapes, intricate beats, and emotive melodies.

  23. The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart

A stylistic shift for this band. Not a band I'm really into, but I do enjoy this album.

  24. Spiritbox

A fun 3-song EP from Spiritbox with 90s alt-rock vibes. Kind of sounds like Garbage.

  25. It's either this one or Monster for most R.E.M. fans. I prefer Automatic. It's a classic.

  26. Thrice

One of the last things Thrice recorded before their hiatus, this record has some of their best songs.

  27. Thrice, The Artist In The Ambulance

The Artist In The Ambulance (Revisited) is what this record always should have sounded like. Same great songs, but with the raw power of their live show.

  28. Intervals

My favorite instrumental progressive metal band. Intervals has been killing in recent years. I took my daughter to see them in 2023, and we got to meet them and get this record signed by the band.

  29. One of the better late-era Thrice records.

  30. Peripheral Vision is probably my favorite indie rock record of all time. Immaculate vibes on this one. Feels like the soundtrack to autumn.

  31. Spiritbox

What can I say? This is one of the best records of the last couple of years. Courtney and Mike are a force to be reckoned with. They can do anything.

  32. Sturgill Simpson

Sturgill Simpson is undeniably one of the most important people in modern country music, while bringing a classic sound to his songwriting style.

  33. American Football

What can I say? One of the best emo bands of all time. Extremely influential in the genre.

  34. Dashboard Confessional

When Chris Carabba came out with Dashboard Confessional there was really nothing else like it, and it's why it struck a chord with so many people. This will always be one of my all time favorite records, even if only for nostalgic reasons.

  35. Jimmy Eat World

A record I love so much I named my daughter after it. Seriously changed the way I hear music to this day. I've bought several versions of this record, and Jimmy Eat World is one of my top 2 favorite bands.

  36. First they were The Format, then they were Fun, but they were always fun even when they were The Format. Nate Ruess is a lyrical genius and I love this showtunes indie pop sound.

  37. Dustin Kensrue

Dustin Kensrue, the singer from Thrice, has a few solo records that sound nothing like Thrice. This is his second one, and probably my favorite. Great singer-songwriter sound from a very smart and talented dude.

  38. Elliott

Lousiville, KY emo band. Sounds like Sunny Day Real Estate. All around great band, and this is a great first album from them.

  39. Sugarcult

One of my favorite pop punk albums. Great band back in the day.

  40. Camera Obscura, My Maudlin Career

This record is like a blanket and a cup of tea. So cozy.

  41. Tennis

Tennis is a husband and wife duo, and this is an indie rock record about sailing along the US east coast. Great vibes on this one.

  42. I mean, this album has Deadbolt on it. Enough said.

  43. The second half of Thrice's most ambitious project, and an overwhelming success.

  44. The first half of Thrice's most ambitious project, and an overwhelming success.

  45. An absolute classic in the emo/punk genre. I remember buying and opening the CD in my car.

  46. Circa Survive

The first and best Circa Survive album. One of my all time favorite albums.

  47. Spiritbox

Amazing metal band. Fantastic EP. Courtney Laplante is the Queen.

  48. Sleep Token

Best record of 2023 and one of my all time favorites. I'm slightly obsessed.

  49. Paramore

    Probably my favorite Paramore record.
