Albums I truly love
Joseph TildenI remember the first time listening to this at the table doing homework and I could hardly focus at all cause wowowow this shit was so captivating.
Sir Duke was a fun as hell song to learn on bass. So was I wish. And contusion was such an unexpected turn that made it impossible to expect what would come next.
I feel like every song on this has a little story with it associated with my life. But Love's in Need of Love today will surely stick with me for the rest of my life. What a way to start an album.
And remember that it was originally supposed to end with Another Star, which makes a lot of sense as an ending honestly, but those bonus tracks do hit too.

1976
JamesA huge, generous album that somehow contains a whole world. Wonder moves effortlessly between funk, soul, jazz, gospel, and pop while writing songs that feel universal and deeply personal at once. The arrangements are rich but never crowded, every melody unforgettable. It’s ambitious music that still feels warm and human.

EVERY ALBUM I’VE LISTENED TO EVER
PepperIf the sun played music, this is what it'd sound like. And if heaven doesn't sound like this, then I'd rather be in hell.

Favorite 50 Albums of All Time

"Tryin' your best to bring the water to your eyes
Thinking it might stop her from whoopin' your behind!"
Stevie’s magnum opus. There’s so much more to this album than the overly-familiar hits — the deep cuts run deep indeed. He was so prolific during this timeframe that this double album even included a bonus 45 with four extra songs!
