My top (Almost 100) Albums of all time.
GwydianThe British boy band peak some might argue (I probably wouldn't). Look I can't tell you anything about The Beatles that you don't already know. Instead I'll tell you why Sgt. Pepper's is my favourite of theirs; the psychedelic's were taking effect by this point. No one in their right mind thinks up such an insane concept album about such fantastical topics, and that's why I love it, it's crazy. Their skill and craft is still all there just with a few too many shakes of angel dust on top. I think you'll find some of the best songs in their whole discography hide themselves on this album. She's Leaving Home being a personal favourite.

A list for Charlotte
RamintaThis might be my most favorite record ever. My mom had a first pressing of this on vinyl. Not on purpose, she just bought it when it first came out and took care of her stuff. Mom had 3 pop/rock albums, this, Beatles Help, and The Doors self-titled (that one was only because the Alabama Song (whiskey bar) song which is in the Three Penny Opera). So... out of the three, it was this most of the time and then the Doors... until I learned what a horrible person Jim Morrison was. I also loved staring at the cover of this album. One of the people on the cover is Swami Yogananda, the founder of the Self Realization Fellowship of which my dad was a member. Once my mom said that was a cult and then another time said it was just a mix of Buddhism, Hindu, and Christianity. Then she said that she never said it was a cult. My mom's name is Rita. She never worked as a meter maid.

Grammy Album of the Year Award Winners and Nominees
Mindy1968 winner yay they won! And it was this album! One of my favorites of theirs :) I never realized how much I liked the Beatles until this challenge, but they really have a lot of bangers.

Library Listening Log 2026
SarahMy dad bought this CD when I was in high school and this was one of those parent music education moments where he had me listen to it and appreciate how it was done. We used to listen to it everywhere together and then I ended up "borrowing" it a lot. I've never owned it myself.

This is when the Beatles showed the world how a record album could take you on a journey, with a coherent sequence of songs that was no mere collection of singles. While it’s not a concept album per se, it does call for listening from start to finish, from the murmured anticipation of the audience awaiting Sgt. Pepper’s band to take the stage, to the apocalyptic finale of “A Day in the Life.”
