The debut studio album (LP) by American indie folk-rock supergroup boygenius, consisting of Julien Baker, Lucy Dacus, and Phoebe Bridgers (if she isn't featuring on your 2023 smash hit indie-folk album, what are you even doing with your life?). Nominated for six Grammys, including Album of the Year, Best Alternative Album, and Record of the Year. It was followed up by the EP "The Rest," which features four outtakes (the strongest being the exceptional "Afraid of Heights").

I thought this album was good, but not great. But then I saw them perform live in a giant crowd of superfans and it was a transcendent experience! It was one of the best shows I've ever seen in my life! I don't really see myself pulling this up five years from now, but boygenius was a big part of 2023 for me.

Full length album from this super group trio?! How could anyone say no? All three of them have individually made a top ten list of mine in the past and their EP was no slouch either.
