I loved, loved this album in 2000. Saw them and Blackalicious at RIT around then. Concert was legit.

I’d like to remove this, but I’ve listened to so much Death Cab.

Wolf Like Me is sick a$$ great hit song. Also I need to spend more time with the rest of their catalog. I sort of get stuck on this album.

It would have been kind of cool to be a rude boy and soccer hooligan in the ’80s…but like not as terribly violent as they were. Among The Thugs is a great book about soccer hooligans. It is disturbing.

This is an emotional pick more than one related to how much I listen to this album or any Josh Ritter. I’ve told you the story about my aunt and him playing her favorite song while she was dying. Fkn solid move.

I rarely actually listened to Biggie albums start to finish. But hard to leave off based on how much of him rapping I’ve listened to. I had same issue with Snoop, Dre, PAC, Jay-Z. So this is placeholder for them all. East Coast West Coast all in one.

Love this album. Love Ani live. But this does make my testicles hurt because twice at Ani concerts Beth punched me in the crotch. Interesting trivia, she was friendly with the frontman for Soul Coughing in college. They had class together. Soul Coughing also on this list.

Sam Prekop’s solo stuff is solid. This was a placeholder. Not sure it is my favorite. Have to revisit catalog.

I wish I could not include this but it “slapped” when it came out. I wore this CD out. I saw DMB before this came out or right when it did at Horde Tour maybe (sp?) and just like everyone else in the world I was like “that dude is going to be freakin huge”.

I should probably have like six other solo Wu albums on this list. Raekwon’s Cuban Linx, Giza’s Liquid Swords, some Ghostface album…this list is cluttered already.

This band rocks if you don’t know them. Check out song Stairway To The Free Bird On The Way to the Smokey Water. Straight fire. I think they may be from New Jersey.

If I was cutting back this would probably go. But I love Anthems for A Seventeen Year Old Girl…and 45 yr old dude apparently.

I was super into this album. I feel like it is great indie pop. I thought they were going to blow up. I was wrong.

Loved this bands first four albums. Saw live a bunch of times. I think finger tapping guitarist was in Botch, crazy hardcore band. Lead singer was in Sharks Keep Moving.

No one agrees with me of loving this album most

Pure, pure sex. So sex it gave him a complex and he had a mental breakdown. That was unfortunate. Especially because it probably had a hand in his dying young.

Her new album dropped this week. It is great if you like EB.

Underrated album.

Boots is crazy creative. Sometimes a little too provocative. Worth learning about him. Doing interesting music and movies.

Another more emotional pick. J. Dilla was one of best producers in hip hop. He was dying while he made this. It is a top hip hop album, but largely just samples and beats. Literally made it in hospital. I helped his get a bunch of stuff made hen working at Disc Makers. They gave me a copy of the vinyl before the art was on it. Was pretty cool.

Saw them on TV at Glastonbury a few years ago while in Ireland. Super poppy and fun.

Was a huge fan of the first album and this one.
