1. Massive Attack

    Radiohead without the gravitas.

It’s considered by many to be one of the great albums - I just don’t see it. I love the music, but the voice and words don’t hit a cord with me. Teardrops ofc is insane. And they have some good singers featured.

Pick up from man next door.

  2. What’s more to say that it’s the greatest album ever made. The flow between songs, experimental, riffs, lyrics, album art, feeling.

    Never to be replicated.

I find I don’t listen to this casually as much. It’s too intense sometimes for just listing on on his. It’s n an amazing way

    10/10

  3. The Beatles

Quintessential Beatles. The mix between each member’s song type (side 1 is the best example) how it all fits together. Story telling, whimsy, heavy songs, sunny songs all blended into an album that still feels fresh in whatever the current year is. Never to be matched again.

The medelay at the end is perfect. What an ending to their legacy.

    10/10

  4. Jimi Hendrix

    Holy shit.

‘The ’ Hendrix set fucking delivered.

It was so raw, powerful guitar. You could tell he was on acid and it made it beautiful. He knew not wound be legendary - he you can hear it before Hey Joe.

    Perfect for playing COD to!

    Best live album I’ve heard.

I’m putting this 2nd because of the performance and experience while listing to it. It’s not about the individual songs.

    10/10 S

    27/07/25

  5. Radiohead

    omg

    Lightning in a bottle.

I’ve heard it’s one of the best albums - I was saving it for a time after I smoked and can appreciate the whole album.

AND FUCK ME DID IT WORK!

Memorising voice, and a wave of music that carries you down the songs direction .

I can’t put a reason on why it’s not a 10. It’s a feeling. Although there is nothing I would change on this album.

Just listened to it again. For sure a 10. Changing the grade:

  6. Frank Turner

I owe so much to this album. Kicked off my friendship with Hobby, started my love for going to shows. 15 Frank shows and counting! Where some beautiful and terrible things have happened.

I remember listing to ‘Rivers’ on the 3rd step outside my room. Jacob gave this to me for Christmas (but really he wanted it for his own iTunes haha)

Still kinda wish I got the tattoo at 2000 trees.

This has a special place in my heart ❤️

    9/10

    11/08/25

  7. Linkin Park

Best selling of the year for a reason. Great zeitgeist for the year 2000. Heavy Rock, Skater and emotional music. Great blend of Mike and Chester - breaking new ground.

    9/10

    18/07/25

  8. Eminem

Throwback record! Year 8? French trip. Listening with the wired apple earphones with Hannah Wardman! Awesome trip

Insane tracks: Lose yourself, Mockingbird, Like Toy Soldiers, My 1st Single, Crazy in Love, One shot 2 Shot , Ass Like That and more!

    But FUCK Puke

Great to listen to in the car where no one can here me rapping horrible

    8/10

    17/07/25

  9. Great chill album to listen to while napping, no skips. Not for every situation, but when it fits it fits like a glove.

    8/10

  10. Black Sabbath

    The king is dead.

    What a legacy.

Perfect voice, kinda laid back but intense? Not so in your face as other heavy singers.

Great track list, and they fit together so well.

The way the guitar also sounds like it’s singing and responding to ozzy is insane.

    8/10

    26/07/25

  11. Linkin Park

The album that got me through Spain with Harry - will always have a special place in my heart.

    8/10

    17/07/25

  12. The Beatles

Really interesting and produces a varied response from me. Sometimes when I’m high I connect so well with this. As their first drug album it makes sence. Sober or not fucked up it’s OK good.

    8/10

    29/07/25

  13. Billy Joel

    This is class.

Beautiful melodys, good story telling and fast but varied pace.

    9/10/25

  14. Eminem

    Fking throwback! So many memories!

‘Spacebound’ firstly lying to Zac that Ives hear it . He asked if the chorus was normal or high voice and I ofc said high. (I hadn’t heard it yet)

But that was mine and Elizabeth’s song ❤️ we spoke for hours each night then I did NOTHING - just poked her boob in a tent 😭😭😭

It’s quite a deep song that didn’t really relate to us idk think we just both really liked it.

Fucking Luke… It was funny singing the song at reading festival knowing we were both singing it for her. Loool

  15. Frank Turner

The one that got his famous! Some great songs and the transition into broken piano is amazing as always. Starting with Recovery is a hell if a way to kick off.

  17. Tom Misch

Great memories of traveling listening to this with Demi.

His first and best album as a project with some individual bangers

    8/10

    17/07/25

  18. Loooooove.

Amazing stories with some spoken words. And him going about his day. Feels like a project.

Not waving but drowning - amazing message.

    8/10

    08/08/25

  19. Dire Straits

Sultans of swing and down to the waterline. Need I say more? Upbeat, great swinging guitar and variety of songs. Can’t go wrong.

    8/10

    16/07/25

  20. Green Day

Some absolute BANGERS and songs of the era songs. Some also average songs that follow the same rhythm just don’t hit the same.

    Mums favourite!

    8/10

    28/10/25

  21. The Offspring

    Nostalgia in a bottlel

    Welcome to Americana.

    7/10

    18/07/25

  22. Frank Turner

So many songs still part of the core live set. Emotional story telling with well developed songs for the first time. Feels complete and like the other instruments where written with the song as opposed to an acoustic song that he added base and drums to like the first 2 albums.

    He’s learning.

    8/10

    16/07/25

  23. Frank Turner

Rough herring ‘There She Is’ knowing he cheated on her and they got divorced.

Great album, sight change in sound as his love develops and great messages within the songs.

    But also some fillers.

Need to watch the movie tbf

    1/11/25

  26. James Blunt

    Surprisingly amazing!

I knew he had a beautiful voice, but the production and much behind them were great. I thought I would get bored of his voice but it kept getting better and better.

    Beat tracks:

    1. You’re beautiful
    2. Goodbye my lover
    3. Wisemen

One of the greatest 3 track runs

    8/10

    29/07/25

  27. Aretha Franklin

    Boss ass bitch!

Such a powerful voice sung with umph. Perfect for a sunny day in the park.

    Found through Frank turner.

    7/10 7/9/25

  28. No surprise Angus voice is fucked - he fucking riiiiiped here

    Really great album, crazy energy

  29. Mac Miller

Suuuuch a vibe. Great voice, vibey beats

    7/10

    29/07/25

  30. Steely Dan

2 standout bangers. The rest is a beautiful grove for summer day road trip drives behind conversation or sitting in the park in the sun.

    8/10

  31. Red Hot Chili Peppers

Twangy guitar so thick you could spread on your toast

    Ultimate surfer stoner rock.

    Voice that carries you.

    7/10

    17/08/25

  32. Mötley Crüe

    Yeah this fucking slaps.

Experienced it while cross faded playing track mania campaign and free tracks trying to get an incrementally small decrease of lap time.

    Sososoos satisfying but also frustrating.

But the album was a perfect level of heady rock.

    8/10

    04/10/25

  33. Skepta

    I’m pwaaaaoh

You have shutdown straight into that’s not me

    Love the talking interludes

    7/10

    8/9/25

  34. Powerful a.f.

Have on vinyl, love the title song and his cover of come together! The rest is such a grooove. Only a 30 minute album but picks a punch!

    7/10

    7/9/25

  35. Frank Turner

This is Frank. Raw stories about his life. Emotional music with some heavy rock mixed in. A worth addition and fits well into his other albums and shows.

    8/10

    19/08/25

  36. Frank Turner

LOVE that he realised an acoustic version. Some songs like undefeated are so much better like this

    8/10

    19/08/25

  37. Beastie Boys

    Firstly-crazy album cover

Such a fun album!!! Shock Mike Shinoda is inspired by these dudes. I can see a lot of them in linkin park songs. Proper hybrid theory - rock and rap is possible!

Also heard some Beatles in this album.

    8/10

    01/08/25

  38. Frank Turner

Much more complete record, with the hits from campfire punk rock.

    6/10

    16/07/25

  39. Fleetwood Mac

Peter Greens’s Fleetwood Mac is more bluesy and it’s honestly great.

    7/10

    01/08/25

  40. Jack Johnson

Wow! So much better than I expected! (Stoned)

    Great vibes - super listenable!

    7/10

    29/07/25

  41. BROCKHAMPTON

Great album! Normally not a huge hip hop guy but I love the ensemble part of it - that they have so many rappers, and therefore music directions. Each song is pretty different but the same theme.

    7/10

    09/08/25

  42. J. Cole

Very obviously younger Cole when he was still ‘in the rap game’ he’s matured a lot since 2013.

Crazy bar but ‘she’s raising his kids while she swallowed mine’ would never say that now. Or about how he hopes he doesn’t meet a wifey of a fellow rapper which was his side chick at the Grammys.

Some legendary beats, ‘rich Niggaz’ and the short form content famous ‘she knows’

It’s cole, but there some absolutely stand outs songs, but in general is a really good project but no more than that.

    7/10

    7/10/25

  43. Red Hot Chili Peppers

Twangy guitar so thick you could spread on your toast

  44. Joey Bada$$

    Joey, Joey, Joey fucking Badass

    7/10

  45. Frank Turner

    Franks first album!

2 key tracks in ‘The Real Damage’ and ‘The Ballard of me and my friends’ that set the tone of his career.

Love the rest of the acoustic songs and the variety of how he sings them. Some arnt in his best key.

But it’s a raw snapshot of his life and views at that time in life.

    5/10

    16/07/25

  46. Will Varley

    Great story telling

    7/10

    10/09/25

  47. Love how stories, and franks feature on the first song!

    7/10

    20/08/25

  48. Pink Floyd

I’m not sure why everyone raves about this album. It’s good, it’s Pink Floyd! But is it better than all their other albums? Defiantly not. It’s also only 41 minutes.

    However, CRAZY album cover.

    7/10

    1/11/25

  49. I always find these kind of songs interchangeable and same same. But still a lovely listening experience

    7/10

    19/07/25

  50. Thee Sacred Souls

    7/10

    19/07/25

  51. Bruno Mars, Silk Sonic, Anderson .Paak

Nice music: amazing beats and beautiful voices

    7/10

    18/07/25

  52. Gorillaz

    7/10

    29/07/25

  53. The video recording is peak London drug rock and it’s a fascinating time capsule.

The Who FUCKING killed it. Keith moon on drums was awesome.

Dirty Mac (John Lennon)’s 2 Yer blues performances are incredibly raw and bluesy. Shame of the Yoko screaming in the next song.

Then the stones were great. The way Jaggers body is moving is funny, great voice inflections and adding originality and personality to the song.

Not something I would listen to much as it jumps around but as a performance can’t deny its quality.

8/10 (marked lower in this list)

    27/07/25

  54. Joey Bada$$

    7/10

    10/08/25

  55. Ezra Collective

Groovy record, with some great features. Love the jazz, but I prefer music with lyrics. The tracks that had some where great

    7/10

    16/07/25

  56. The Beach Boys

    Honestly, meh…

People always say this is one of the all time greats - and yes it has 2 BANGERS. But the rest is so same same.

They have undeniable amazing voices, and I love the way they harmonise. But there’s no variety, no experimentation in an age where everything was exploding.

It’s said they revolutionised pop, which is probably true and when it came out it might have been mind blowing. But as someone who’s living in the wake of this album and era. I’m not convinced.

    7/10

  57. 7/10

    20/08/25

  58. Radiohead

This sounds like Radiohead used to sound like to me. Uninspiring and a bit boring. Like I said, lighting in a bottle for OK Computer. It’s a fine line and unfortunately this albums falls the other side of that line.

    6/10

    18/08/25

  59. Decent, nothing special but 3 great songs. Cleaning out my closet, without me and sing for the moment

    7/10

    17/07/25

  60. Radiohead

    Eh.

I feel they are trying to chanel OK Computer but it fell short of the mark.

    It’s same same but worse.

    6/10

    03/08/25

  61. Huuuge album. 28 songs, he for sure had something to prove - that he was silenced from Paula nd John.

Some songs felt so Beatles, you can tell they were proposed for some Beatles albums. I liked those songs (maybe because of the familiarity)

The rest I weren’t to keen tbh. I felt they were a littttle self Indulgent.

    However. He’s George Fucking Harrison!

    He’s earned it

  62. Paul McCartney, Wings

Super interesting thought while listening to this album.

Paul - crowd friendly hits John - deeply personal lyrics George - fuck you I can do it as well

Not sure if I’m reading into how they were as Beatles Into their solo albums, buuuuuttt they were the biggest fucking band in the world. It’s hard for that not to affect you. Either you lean into it or protest against it.

Album is nice, nothing super special or revolutionary for me.

    7/10

    23/09/25

  63. Dire Straits

    That wasn’t it. Eh.

    6/10

  64. Ram
    Paul McCartney, Linda McCartney

    VERY Paul Martney

I could see some of them as Beatles songs, but filler Beatles not standouts.

  65. The Cranberries

    Zombies carried this album 6/10

    01/08/24

  66. A good wil barley album of folk acoustic storytelling - just nothing stand out.

Will has such n nostalgia aspect for me - from the FTHC and BMTH era. The new stuff doesn’t hit quite as hard on the pleasure centers in my brain.

IM SEEING HIM IM 4 DAYS THOUGH! Very excited

    6/10 7/10/25

  67. Tame Impala

Very same same. Distorted airy vocals the whole time.

    6/10

    24/10/25

  68. Simon & Garfunkel

Slow music isn’t my style but some beautiful songs, great voices and soft guitar

    16/07/25

    6/10

  69. Action Bronson

    7/10

    18/08/25

  70. Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers

Another classic that was quite flat. Most songs just blended in together

    16/07/25

    6/10

  71. Frank Ocean

Not a fan of rhythm hip hop? Idk what to call it.

Pink and white is a banger tho only thing saving it from a 5

    6/10

    30/07/25

  72. Eh. Not a fan of nivana or grunge rock. But at least I could hear the words with his voice in this!

    6/10

    27/07/25

  73. Joni Mitchell

    Eh

    6/10

    29/07/25

  74. The Velvet Underground, Nico

Too much in your ear intense, droning hgh pitched guitar. Crazy distortion. My headphones were at 20% volume and it was too loud / intense. Might have been awesome and revolutionary at the time. But now, na.

Also I don’t like the voices that much.

Seems to be trying too hard? I didn’t want to finish it.

    10/10 album art. 4/10 music.
